Welcome

Welcome

We’re so grateful for the support at this last show. The growing crowds let us double our spaces, and you showed up and delivered. Growing the show has been a great thing for the community, and we appreciate it.

Thank you to all of our sponsors, including Laguna Hills Cadillac GMC, Amy Sims, Yoga Six, and of course Oslo Coffee Co. for the much-needed coffee.

Next up is the May show, on the second Sunday of the month as always.

Next show

Standouts from the April show

  • Ferrari Testarossa

A Ferrari Testarossa, all wedge and side strakes.

    What's in the name?

'Testarossa' means 'red head' — a nod to the red-painted engine heads, a styling cue that traces back to the 500 TR (Testa Rossa) racecar of 1954. (Trivia: the first-ever Ferrari was badged Auto Avio Costruzioni 815.)

  • 1970 Volkswagen Bus

A 1970 VW Bus, the enduring symbol of freedom and adventure.

    Did you know?

An icon of 1960s and '70s counterculture, the Bus was built in West Germany until 1979 and in Mexico from 1970 all the way to 1994.

  • Ford Mustang

A true classic — a Ford Mustang holding down the corner.

    Did you know?

In continuous production since 1964, the Mustang is the longest-produced Ford car nameplate and the namesake of the entire 'pony car' segment.

  • Chevrolet Bel Air

A Chevrolet Bel Air representing Chevy's full-size heyday.

    Did you know?

The Bel Air name started in 1950 on two-door hardtops, then in 1953 became a premium trim level offered across a range of body styles.

1961 Ford Falcon Ranchero

Owned by Kaikea Wilinski

“If it isn't at a car show, it'll probably be driving down the coast.”

The year is 1960, and a tough election campaign is in full swing between Senator Kennedy and Vice President Nixon. In November, one of them would become the 35th president. But at that very same time, a small Ranchero was being assembled and driven off the line at the Ford plant in San Jose. This is my 1961 Ford Falcon Ranchero, built November 1960. It has a 200 inline-six and a Weber 32/36 carb, and I restored it to driving condition.

I’ve had it for four years, and if it isn’t at a car show, it’ll probably be driving down the coast. These were basic, disposable economy cars back in 1961, so finding one is difficult — let alone one in this condition. It’s truly a relic of the past that stood the test of time. As a young owner, I feel responsible for maintaining it so the next generation can enjoy it as much as I have. So if you see me on the road, I’ll likely have my surfboard in the bed, heading straight to the beach.
